  1. These are the Old School diaphragms material. I had a couple different materials in my 7 valve system for 30+ years. This material was the first to fail, the Black material diaphragms looked bad, but held up. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Shown are 3 new diaphragms and 7 are 30yrs old. The “failed” diaphragm (2 black, 1 clear). #2 is the amber colored one with grooves, I assume were made by water flows (leaks). It appears to have a “whitish coating” applied. You be the Judge.
